  • I have none. Used to have several sets of different size for Ford and Ferguson but sold everything when I left the tractor hobby.

  • Marc-
I'm not sure you are going to find these repopped new cheaper than the $11 Steiner asks. Like I said below, Jim(UT) used to sell OEM sets, and someone else made sets but haven't seen any in a while so don't know if still available. You could try to place an AD here, check the N-NEWS, Antique Power, and the F/FCA ads,and other tractor publications. Also, watch fleabay, CL, and such for sets for sale as well. Often I see pie weight sets listed that are incomplete, usually missing these stud extenders. If you had the right machinery, you could try to make your own. You will need to purchase 1-1/16" AF hex stock to work with. The 5/8-18 ID thread has to be concentric with the 5/8-18 OD thread w/n .005" TIR. The labor involved plus the material costs determine price. Everyone wants a bargain, that's understood. Like any product, manufacturing in bulk quantities reduces costs. STEINER outsources a local machine shop to mass produce on CNC Equipment and that is the way I did mine. I used collet pad jaws to chuck the 1-1/16" hex stock. You may luck out and find a used set, but that may take time to locate so depending on your needs, $11 doesn't seem that bad.

  • A few years ago, Jim(UT) was an active member here and had a few sets for sale. I don't know if he still has some as he got out of the Ford Tractor business and sold off most if not all of his stuff. Try to archive search him for his contact info. Someone else was making them but don't think he does anymore. STEINERS sold them as well but no longer do.

  • Yep, I was thinking of the pie segments. Twenty-some years ago STEINER was know as Grand Blanc Tractor Sales in Grand Blanc, Michigan. They sold used equipment, new and used parts, and new, reproduction cast parts as well. I have a 9N-9425 Manifold on my early 1939 9N. It has "MADE IN THE USA" and the "STEINER" name in cast raised characters on it -see pix. They moved further north and west to Lennon, Michigan in the early 2000's but due to new Federal EPA regulations, had to discontinue casting their own parts.

  • Here's some on eBay. You get 8 for $60.00. That's $7.50 a piece. Plus shipping, but you can probably get 16 of them shipped for the same shipping price of $8.00. Hope this helps.
