  • KENT-
If you are looking for the MANZEL setting gage (SEE LINK) made for the Ford Tractor governor, good luck. I have only seen one in my life and when the guy died his wife scrapped it out. Here is the scan from my catalog -look on Page 4, lower RH corner. They were made for the mechanic dealers mostly, but could be ordered if you wanted one. You don't need the gage to set the governor though.

  • Thanks Tim. I'm just fallowing the theory that you never know if something is out there until you ask. So far no luck though.

  • Like I said, I've only seen one in my life and one of my good friend's was a Ford Tractor mechanic until they closed in the 80's. He had never seen it. Ford dealers weren't automatically supplied with mechanics MANZEL, KR WILSON, KD, and other tool suppliers; they had to buy their own. If you find one, let me know.

  • I know Palmer had one, that belongs to Loren now. His governor rebuilder has it and uses it. Another guy I know south of Omaha had two, but sold the extra one. I saw his once when I was down there, but didn't pay any attention to what brand it was.
Thanks for all the information on this. I will print out the manual on your other post.
