Re: bno-40 moto tug brake caliper
HiYa Barnstormer John- Normally you'd be right about parts crossing over but the Ford-Ferguson Moto-Tug was a unique machine. Though it was based on the 1941 Ford-Ferguson Tractor, the Tug was a specially designed tractor HD, custom built, and at first for the US Navy seeing action on US Carriers in WWII pulling and pushing Corsairs around. The Tugs had special parts added to the basic Ford tractor and hydraulic brakes were a big feature. The skinny is if the Parts List has a "9N" prefix, it is a Ford Tractor part. If it has a "BNO" prefix, it is a custom made part of which any supplier is long since out of business. Finding one pseric part is as rare as trying to find a whole Moto-Tug in need of restoration. Never say never - there's always hope, but I have a list of a few fellas that have been looking for years for a Tug and they ask me often if I have seen any. Some only need certain parts like the Pintle Hook or special wheels. There are a few Tug members here that may chime in. Bob "Paladin" Johnston and Mike Grooms are two prominent Tug owners. The original Tug Parts List is in the MANUALS forum here as a pdf download. Here is page on the brakes. FORD-FERGUSON MOTO-TUG PG 6:
