  • Just dragged home another Dearborn 14-42 rake. Had to disassemble it and stuff it into the cattle trailer. But, we came home at normal width and 55-60 mph. It's 44 units newer than the rake we already had. I've heard Dearborn implements began in '46 or '47, but so far I can find no info on the switch to using the Ford name. Messick's lists the 14-42 as a Ford, while listing some other equipment as Dearborn.

  • Mike, I believe that the Dearborn line was dropped in 1958 and everything produced after that just had the Ford script name on it.
