  • I have a NOS plow that came from a dealership that closed. I've only plowed about an acre with it on an 8N, still working out the kinks. The gauge wheel seems to do more harm than good, plugging with trash and coming off. Somewhere I read the gauge wheel is for tractors without draft control? The 110 manual isn't real clear as to tread width, just 28 1/2" inside of tire. I'd like to get everything set up right, and since I need to replace axle seals on the tractor, now's the time to move the wheels if I need to. Any mounted plows I ever used before were borrowed, so all I needed to do is level them. If anyone has any experience or suggestions, I welcome them. John

  • The gauge wheel is for a tractor without draft control. Does it have coulter discs to slice the trash?

  • Yes, it has notched coulters. After reading about the gauge wheel, I started wondering if maybe the draft control and wheel were working against each other. I haven't used the plow for 2 or 3 years, getting it out and cleaning her up, want to use it this fall, figure I'll be ready anyway. John
