  • Hi Frank. There were two kinds of Dearborn snowplows. Both mounted to the Dearborn Universal Frame, to which you could also mount a dozer blade.

Here's what the Dearborn V-Snowplow looks like:

Here's what the Blade Snowplow looks like:

I've got manuals for both. Let me know which one you have and I'll post the info for you here in this forum.

    Hope this helps............Ed

Thanks for the reply, I thought I had a dearborn snowblade and home made frame. After looking at your post I am not so sure now. What are your thoughts on the identity of this plow. Its hard to see in the pic but there are pully mounts that go on the frount axil and the frame rest on them were the pipes are on the side of the frame. (see frount view)

  • Hi Frank. Hmmmm, you might have an Arps universal frame and snowblade. Let me show you this for now and check my non-scanned archives to see if I have anything else that may be of help.

This is the Arps Universal Frame that was intended to be used with a front dozer blade and a mid-mount grader blade, but it has similarities to what you are showing here:

    What do you think?

Your the best that is what I have. I have the snow plow attachment which bolts to the frount of the frame. Looking at the frame I was wondering what all the holes in the side were there for, now I know. If you have any info on the frame or the plow it would be a big help, also do you have any idea were I mite start looking for the other attachments that went on the frame I would love to have them all now that I know what I have. THANKS

  • Hi Frank. Unfortunately, I don't have much on this boy. Here's a picture of an N with the grader and dozer installed:

Arps made some neat stuff for our tractors. Most people are aware of the half-tracks they manufactured. Here's a more obscure accessory that they made:

As far as finding parts and accessories for your universal frame, I can only suggest the usual sources: place a wanted ad here and at other tractors site, place a wanted ad in the N-Newsletter, visit tractor boneyards and tractor shows.

Best of luck in your search........Ed
