  • FERGUSON SOIL SCOOP
  • Here's a two-page brochure for the FERGUSON SOIL SCOOP introduced in 1947 -at the time of the split-up. Ferguson was shopping around prior to the demise of the Ford partnership for suppliers as early as 1943/44. Most vendors in the Ford/Ferguson-Sherman loop kept their loyalty to Ford, after all the name FORD was a winner and would sell product, and agreed to manufacture for the new Dearborn Corporation. Several others agreed to supply to both. The ARPS CORP. supplied Dearborn with the 19-6 Model. This scoop says it can hold 7 cubic yards, but the unique feature is it dumps backwards, though not a reversible scoop. It also had a telescoping top link to adjust the "bite" from the drivers' seat. Ferguson may have been attempting to keep both Ford customers and his new Ferguson TO20 customers supplied with this model, make unclear, but the brochure clearly shows a FORD 2N Tractor at work.
