  • If your trying to replace the lift arm on top of the rear end there is only (1) way they will line up.The splines are made this way.Now if you bent/buggered up the splines removing the lift arm then you will have a problem.Clean the splines real well on the lift shaft for a "lookie".

  • What's not lining up? Which "lift arm" are you trying to replace? Lower lift arm?

  • Travis,,,I'm guessing you have the arms off and the lift shaft out,,hold both up together side by side and look at how these splines match up.There is (1) spline that is set with about 1/4in. groove and the lift arm has a 1/4in. spline.Do these mate up?If so try fitting them about 1in. togather. Now these splines do have to be clean and best to have clean grease for mating. If they will fit on about 1in. no doubt they will go all the way.

  • Cleaning Shaft
  • Travis,,most any lub like dezil fuel etc. will do to clean the splines.I use a small cleaning brush and sometimes a tooth brush to scrub with,,just get the hard junk off and then a light grease to lub the splines. You do have to clean "both" shaft and arm for this to work.If all is well a rubber mallet is all thats needed to tap them togather.Block the other side shaft helps.
