  • With that 8n set up it doesn't have enough room to mount the 3pt pump.
I seen one a long time ago used a four wheel drive set up off the small bronco II. Post some photos as you go along.

  • Google elenco, they are the only 4wd I have seen. I always wondered if you could mount a front hydrolic pump and drive 2 front power units, but how would you match the rear gearing??

  • a lot of tractors have front hydraulic drive assist. No need to match the rear gearing.

  • Come to think of it my uncle had a john deer with front wheel hydraulic assist, but I always assumed that they had some way of valving the speed to match the rear speed.
This could be the answer to using an N for tilling. Get a hydraulic drive unit to crawl you along...

  • Probably cheaper to find aa Howard gearbox. or a newer tractor.

  • Re: 8n 4x4
  • I agree. That is why I use my Kubota to till with and it has 4 wheel drive too.
The same goes for making an N into 4 wheel drive. Probably cheaper to find a 4 wheel drive tractor already built.
But that is not the point!!! We guys are always wanting to Stick a V8 in an N or make it 4wd or put a loader on it...

  • Howdy Neighbor! You...uh, gonna sell yours? No, No...I don't need another one. Wife thinks I should her part her Fergy out. I just don't see that happening yet. Too much spent on the dirt hole. Not to mention the other three that should take up residence.
4 machines on her small garden is enough. Did i say small? I meant "petite".
All she has to do is say the word and it could grow in size real fast.
She just gets to plant all that dirt.
