  • I just drained the old hydraulic oil from all three parts of my 9n and cleaned inside. How much fulid do I need? I've read both 5 and 6 gallons- which is it? Premium universal tractor fluid ok?

  • The ring and pinion in your tractor has the same part # as a Ford truck.I would not use UF2228T.

  • Why guess check your FO-4 service manual which says 5 gallons.

    If you have a lot of crud in the bottom 5 gallons may overfill it.

    Check your dipstick before you get all 5 gallons in it.
