  • Cleaned pump, doesn't work
  • The hydraulics on my 9n would go up fine, but not down. I removed the pump, soaked it in diesel and cleaned out the sludge. I reInstalled the pump with the help of folks on this forum and filled it back up with fluid. No movement at all now. Do I need to prime it? If so, how? Thanks

  • Ive had luck increasing rpms and giving it a little time. It should work since you just cleaned it.

  • Sorry, just connected the dots so-to-speak. I just saw another post by you on attaching the control rod to pivot. Disregard my other response on it.

  • -be sure your PTO is engaged and PTO shaft turns
-check to see that the control rod is connect to control valve pivot at pump and that the control valve spools are moving in and out when you move the control lever

  • don't check the control pivot with engine running. Sorry, reread my post above and it looked like I was giving two things in sequence. I wasn't. do the check with engine off.
