    The pond what it looks like now after the drought.
    To this day it never filled back up

  • Has it been dry for all of the last 10 years? That is brutal.

    We had a drought event here in the 2000's, seemed like it was never gonna end. Had to water the cattle on county water for a couple of years & finally sold off the herd. The rains finally did come back & the tanks filled again.

  • Beautiful country, I live in the northern front range I spend some time up around Gunnision every year. Your beef look a bit more fierce these days.

    What filled the pond initially, rainfall? You don't have a spring or stream source for it?

  • There is a small stream that runs into the pond,but it appears to go underground about a hundred yards up stream and doesn't come back up until in a spring below the pond.
    That and it's been really dry.
