  • Tyman - here's the problem
  • When you click the link, the following URL is attempted to be accessed:

    http://ntractorclub.com/pdfs/Timing-9N-2N-Steering-Sector-Gears.pdf

That link should look like this:

    http://www.ntractorclub.com/howtos/pdfs/Timing-9N-2N-Steering-Sector-Gears.pdf

The first one is missing the /howtos qualifier.

  • Re: Tyman - here's the problem
  • Your LINK goes here: http://www.ntractorclub.com/howtos/pdfs/Steering-Shaft-Seal-Replacement.pdf

which is not the one Steve was looking for, which was: Timing the 9N/2N Steering Sector Gears, by John Korschot -- the LINK for this one has been compromised somehow.

  • Again, it works fine for me and others, so the problem is on your end. What are you attempting to do? It opens fine here, and if I wanted to save a copy for myself, I would just click on the floppy disc icon...there's no other way you can download and save a copy for yourself.

    Try this:

  • example -see the pop up menu bar at the bottom - far left icon is suppose to be a floppy disc, meaning, SAVE A COPY

  • An alternate source for the file, you may have better luck there. I have downloaded both and verified they are the same. I sometimes have trouble downloading from this site. I use wget in those cases.

  • Yep, works for me too Steve. When you click on it, it will download in pdf format. Then put your mouse pointer near the bottom of the screen and you should get a pop-up menu bar. At the far left of the menu bar is a little icon of a floppy disc -remember those? Put your mouse pointer on it and a dialog box comes up with ‘SAVE A COPY’. Click on it and it should open your PC desktop with all of your desktop icons. You can save it to any folder/file you want or right to the desktop, as it usually is the first one on the list. That’s what I usually do then once downloaded I will move it to a special folder. From there you can print it or whatever but it is your copy now so it's your choice.
