  • Took Ol' Blue out for a run around doing a last minute whack job at the grass with the brush hog. Ol' Blue being the 871 Demonstrator that has been cosmetically insulted, It seems I haven't fixed the brakes yet, danged cancer routine really fouled up this year. At least the SOS works. That helped when I started down a downhill slope I didn't really want to go down. . . .It starts raining and Im'a whackin' and then, Thanks be to God, it stopped. Got the mowing done, the machine parked and now to get a few other things done while I think about how to do the brakes with those pie weights on there. That was my fun for the day so far.
    Whee...No brakes.

  • Wa-ail shoot! I just had a small whee. You had weightless. You must be trying for astronaut training. You know most folks try that in a 747 or some such for about 30 seconds at a time. You had the cheap version that probably seemed like an eternity until you got down to the last 3/8 inch. That sudden impact tends to impart sudden knowledge. So how's it feel to get suddenly smart? You know, like putting your hand on the hot stove. . . Yep. It's been said that sudden knowledge can come suddenly painfully fast. I try to keep away from that as much as possible. Left knee is bone on bone, right knee miniscous is going away, kneeling down is now an Olympic event.
Grand children are good for picking up stuff that falls on the floor. Too bad, I ain't got none.
