  • Throttle adj.
  • Is there a way to increase the resistance of the throttle lever so that it stays in place on my 9N? The lever won't stay in place and it will slide down towards idle. I have to slide the lever all the way down to full and lock it past the stopper so that I can mow.

  • The governor compensating spring in the "Am I missing a srping" thread is important in holding throttle position.

  • I'm not totally sold on that compensating spring yet. I did fine with out it for so many years. But then I guess Henry wouldn't put it there if it didn't do something.

  • Some guys will use a file to cut the groove back into the throttle stops. On the back side of the throttle lever there is a sharp edge that fits into the grooves you made need to dress that also.
