  • looks like he rear ended the vehicle in front of him. tie downs may have removed as we don't know how long after the accident was that the pic was Taken.

  • He just made room on the trailer to pick up another tractor!

Exactly what I thought when I saw that picture. He's driving down the road, spots an "N" for sale, tells the ol' lady to hang on, hits the brakes and now he has room for it.

  • Good thing he drives a Ford, Chevy couldn't handle the extra weight.

  • Oops, he forgot to put it in gear.
I know a couple of people who have hauled without securing the load. "I go slow". "I'm only going around the corner", or "I'm only going a couple of miles". STUPID!
I quit using lever chain binders when I had one come loose. I only use ratchet binders and check my load after several miles to be sure they are still tight.

  • My biggest fear when pulling one of my boats, is having to stop quickly and abruptly.
That is why I leave plenty of room in front of me. The problem there is all the ones who pull in front of me to fill the extra gap.

  • Ditto. I see various recreation pullers blow my doors off. They are pulling at 75 and 80+ mph!

  • Interesting thing that the RV pullers don't pay attention to. 95% or more of the RV's have ST trailer tires which are rated at 65mph! Also, almost an equal number are made in China and are affectionately know to the experienced pullers as China Bombs. Wonder how they got that name?

  • "but Officer, my 9 year old twins Moe & Curley swore to me they had the tractor secured to the trailer when we left home!"

  • What is the trailer for? It looks like it fits in the truck bed just fine!
