  • a couple questions
  • The Ford 3000 I bought has had the engine rebuilt. They guy I bought it from said all the fluids are new also. He said it has straight 30 weight break in oil in it. I plan on changing it soon. My question is how long should I run it with this break in oil in it? The articles I've read on it say soon after you run the engine for a while. Is that correct.
It has AG5 spark plugs in it. Is that what everyone is running in the 2000-4000 tractors? I found this web site with alternative plugs to use. Not sure what would be best. Thanks

  • AG5's, gapped at .025 work. We have an owner's manual for your tractor here in our Manuals library.

  • Thanks Ed. I noticed that is what it has in it. I just didn't know if others with this tractor were running a different plug. I was fortunate the guy I bought it from gave me an operators manual and the service manual. I will look at the manual here though. The one I have the pictures are not real clear. Thanks again.
