  • I'm looking for one or two Ferguson-Sherman ID TAGS for the 1-bottom plow. I am not 1005 certain they even had one as mine does not and it was purchased new by my Grandfather in 1939 when he bought his 9N. I do not see any evidence of the four rivet holes either anywhere on the frame. I seem to recall someone was going to repop these a while ago but there's nothing in the archives that reflects that. My email is open...

  • Well raise my rent...good ol' Bob Sybrandy at the FENA club came thru once again. He provided us with two outfits who repop ID TAGS, both in the UK. One is called Ferguson Dunlop Tractor Spares and the other is Vintage Brass Plates. Here are their web site LINKS:

    http://www.dunloptractorspares.co.uk/parts/ferguson-parts/

the Ferguson-Sherman Plow Id Tag is p/n: 'PLATEFEIFS' at DUNLOP. Vintage Brass will make you anything you want, usually a little more expensive Bob says. I have an original Ferguson-Sherman ID Tag for a 12A-AO-28 2-bottom plow and it is brass. I also have one on my 12" F-S plow. I'd like to buy or at least get some very good clear digital pictures of an original 16A-AO-28 tag for the F-S 1-bottom Plow. My email is open...

  • Tim, have you checked with Bob Sybrandy yet to see if he may know of someone re-popping the tags?

  • Not yet, but I will. Bob as you know is the technical guru at FENA, and I doubt if they have anything related to the early Ford days like a Ferguson-Sherman ID tag, but I'll ask. I've never seen anything offered in their 'Bits & Pieces' forum. George Bradish at one time had some NOS tags for sale but the only Ferguson tags he repops/has now are for the TO-20/TO-30 Continental Z120 engine.

  • When I restored the '56 Ferguson F40 two years ago, Bob was a sincere blessing in respect not only to having some NOS parts I needed for the project, but also helped me technically with several issues I came across.

  • I was looking into making tags but the cost was just to high and no market for them so I dropped the idea. Pic is from one of my plows that I have since sold.

  • I answered your post in the implement section. Anyway here are the rivet holes on the missing tag on the frame of my 1940 single bottom plow
