  • I recently purchased a 52 8N with a Ford H series industrial engine, 6 cylinder, 226 flat head.
I am looking for the "pancake style" carburetor cover that allows hose connections to the oil bath air cleaner.

Anyone have resources for finding one, or an alternative approach for connecting this?

  • Try Joe's Auto Sales in Minnesota. He is an all Ford yard, and has a lot of old(50-60's) cars and trucks. No tractor parts, but he may have what you are looking for. His number is 651-437-6787. Tell him I told you to call.

  • I considered chasing one of those but ended up with what I believe is a better connection for my V8. I bought a silicone 90 degree elbow reducer.
The rest of my intake was cobbled together out of pieces I had laying around. The silicone hose fittings are available in just about any size you might want. I also used them to gracefully solve the mismatch of engine and radiator fittings, just barely visible to the right in this photo.
