  • Putting my tractor back together and I have a hub that had bad bearings. I installed new races and noticed a difference in the other hub. The hub with new races is short and the race is 1/2 inch from lip of hub verses the other one is 3/4 inch. WHen installed on spindle there is quite a gap. Not sure what I have. Any ideas?

  • I agree with 36, replace it with correct hub.

  • Once you install the seals you can tell if they will work. It should work. Iíve noticed some modifications on hubs. Machine work. Not sure that is your storie.

  • I see what you mean, I put the seal in place and put it back on the spindle and it does fill the space. Another question; The seal is loose and will spin. With the good hub, the seal is pressed into place, but the bad hub has too much gap and the seal will spin. Should I JB weld it in place, just let it spin, or shim it somehow? Thanks for the help.

  • I suggest locktite red on the outside of the seal.
