  • 48 8N For Sale Oregon
  • I saw this 47 8N for sale in Prineville Oregon this weekend. He is asking $4250 OBO
with the Bush Hog. It appears to be in great shape. The owner said he will not separate the Hog from the tractor. I'm looking for a Bush Hog. He said he is not sure if it's a 48 or 47.
Trying to post pictures hope it works.

  • Rubber looks good but still high. In TN would bring about 2500 max.

  • Price is double what it's worth.

  • Yep, I concur Dogman. Not that they aren't worth that much, it's just that the values of N's of severely decreased over the past ten years, with $1800 being about average for a decent running machine, with or without extras. For the money he is asking, one could and should buy an 800 or 900,or even better a 2000, 3000, or 4000. He won't sell it at that price, but if he does, then more power to him, as the buyer hadn't done his homework. Just my opinion...unless of course it has a very early serial number, like in the 2,3,4 digit range.

  • I can't tell a 47 from a 48 from that pic; maybe someone else can. The serial number would help narrow it down; see tip # 71.

As to good shape.........assuming the bush hog is, deduct $500 from the asking price. That gets you to an asking price of $3750.

I have no idea what 8N's sell for in OR, but that tractor might get $2k in VA.

See the after market carb and in-line fuel filter? That tells me it needs a gas tank.

The right radius rod is bent & it has loop rims. It might be a shadow on the right rear axle nut or it might be oil.

  • Too high in my book. For that price he could have at least put a new steering wheel on it.

  • Your comment made me take another look at the steering wheel; that's when I noticed the worn throttle rod ball. Look at the wide scuff mark on the quadrant.
