  • Split a 2n yesterday
  • Split the tranny on a 2n parts tractor yesterday morning at 11 degree out. No room to pull it in the garage or barn. Hard wrenching with bulky gloves on. Wanted to get it done before the snow flies tonight. Going to use this in a '46 2n. Planning on Pulling the howard and sherman step down in the '46 and putting them up for sale.

  • It looks like you're trying to give Wenger's a run for their money, Kirk!

Is Bill ready for another package deal?

  • Hi Bruce,
Wengers got a bit more inventory than I do. Don't know if Bill is ready or not. Send mean email with what you got and price and I'll see if I can talk him into it. Include your phone number also.
Did you make it to the Washington crossing show last year. If not we had about 32 fords there. Of course Joel and his Dad Paul showed up with #90 and #91 along with the warhorse and stole the show. We're getting more and more fords every year. Here's a couple of photos from the show.

  • Iím interested to see how much they sell for. The step down is the transmission you would think to be most useful in an N.

  • I sold a Howard for 1056. Last Howard sold off at 1560 or there about.
    Good Luck with yours.

  • Not seeing many step downs these days. When I pull it I maybe sell it as a package three tarns bolt and go. Pull your old trans out and slap this one in. no drilling holes. Here's a link to show the howard sherman in action.

  • Your a better man than I am! Not sure how old you are but I used to cut wood when it was that cold but when I hit 60 my hands and feet get really cold really fast. I still cut wood and split it with an ax but in warmer weather.

  • I'll simply echo Larry's (above) statement that you're a better man than I am working at that temperature, particularly outdoors! If you think you have aches and pains now, I can tell you that now at 73, those certainly don't get any better, nor do the other usual health issues we seniors face. I'm deep indoors and my finger joints are aching just looking out at the ice on the roads, snow flurrys and temps below freezing today, something here in the far southeast area of Texas that we're not used to at all as most major roadways, schools and colleges, along with many Gulf coast businesses are all shut down, and most likely will be again tomorrow!

    Stay warm my friend...............
