  • OK, a friend has a 1947 8n, His starter bendix shelled out so he bought 2 china made bendix off the internet, the first one lasted 10-15 starts then shelled out, The second one lasted about the same and shelled out, Reading the Ntractorclubs archives I see a lot of talk about china bendix that don't hold up any better, also read that there is not any OEM made bendix anymore.
I found this one on Ebay says it's USA made??? Think it's true?, Think they are and good ? Or does anyone have any idea where to buy a good one?

  • I have had great luck with dbelectrical, they sell on Amazon. Bought distributor, starter and bendix from them. Fast delivery. Distributor went right on and started right up with no problems!!
    Just a satisfied customer..

  • Not anything like the original Ford drive. This drive was first used on the 37 Ford v8.All parts were serviceable.Check with Carpenter as they started business with a load of original Ford parts.

Just8N's - Real pleasant folks to deal with. They stock only the best parts that are available.

  • Very satisfied with Just8Nís. Half dozen orders over the past month and all were timely and spot on. Added benefit is Dereck knows N tractors and has most likely worked your problem before and will keep you from ordering the wrong parts. I got a clutch pedal bushing off of Amazon and a speed shop had to drill a hole in the bushing outer layer for a grease zerk I put in($$$)...Derekís bushing was cheaper and I could have it drilled myself.

  • I had 2 of those, same item from same seller on a 2n about a year ago. First one shelled out first try, seller sent me another, second one lasted a whole summer then shelled, and last from tractor supply one was still working when I sold it 5 months after that.

It was probably the only part I've ever bought at tsc that looked built better then a part I ordered.
