  • NAA pto shaft
  • my NAA is back together and working after new axles, hubs and a repaired lift cylinder. except now with clean oil and the correct amount of oil the pto seal is leaking. toying with the idea of changing it to the 1 3/8" shaft. is it as easy as pulling four bolts sliding the old one out and sliding the new one in? or is there more i should know? i know i could just replace the seal but the shaft is bent as well.

  • It's an NAA. It has three separate oil compartments. You will have to drain the hydraulic reservoir and the rear axle reservoir

  • If you have someplace you can park it with the front down low
You don't have to drain it. The fluid will move to the front.
I have used another tractor with a loader to do this.
It is only a 15 moment job.

  • It is just four bolts and slide it out. Of course the hard part is draining the fluid.

  • If the shaft is bent it might not be as easy as they say. You might get lucky.
