  • Not only does it require fire and fuel, it also requires AIR. Years ago, when plowing dry, dusty, soil I had a 9N act like you are describing when the oil in the air cleaner got packed with dirt. If you have been in a very dirty atmosphere, it's worth a check. Easy check is to pull the hose off of the carburetor intake.

    Good Luck,

    Jack

  • 1. Check point gap and spark plugs. Check spark at plugs.
    2. Check to see if water in gas by draining carb into glass jar. Pull plug in bottom of carb and check flow rate too.
    3. Check coil connections.

  • I have checked the spark and jumped 1/4 inch gapped plug on all 4 cylinders.
Fuel flows from drain on carb .tractor will start sporadically but only runs for s few seconds then stalls
Still seems like it is starving for fuel
Any ideas where to go from here ?
    Thanks
