  • Pulling Sleeves
  • I have a 1947 2n that I want to rebuild the motor, however, I can't find a sleeve pulling tool. Any idea where I can get a sleeve puller?

  • I'd take Harold Cooke up on his offer to rent out his tool with the understanding youpay shipping costs and any damages to the tool itself. Ironic how I once posted about how we should have a forum to exchange info on specialty tools like this so others could rent them out like this. It didn't get any support so probably is buried in the archives somewhere. Not too far after the tool forum was created though.

  • Since TOH is out of commission, I have one I could lend you if you want to pay shipping both ways. I am in the St. Louis area. Send email.

  • Not a good idea to peel out the sleeve with a screwdriver or a chisel. It will lekely break the cylinder wall and ruin the engine.

TOH offers a very nice sleeve service kit - http://windyridgefarm.us/Products.html

  • Thanks for the marketing help but I am currently out of commission with a broken ankle and unable to work in the shop. So no sleeve tools available at this time. It will likely be 2-4 weeks more before I can get back to work.
