  • Jublee engine block
  • I have learned A lot from you guys about my 2N and I may be taking on another project. My VFW Commander sold me my 2N and is looking to fill the vacancy in his barn with a jubalee. He has found one for a cheep price of get it out of here. It has a cracked engine block (he was told). He doesn't know the year and ask if there was any difference in the blocks year to year like with the 8N's two blocks? If so what should I look for to tell the difference? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Good info about replacement blocks below but ya might consider repair if a hairline type crack in water jacket which is common resulting from freezing. This type crack can be brazed or even JBWelded and work just fine. Iíve yet to see a 134 block with a cylinder wall crack. Anyway, just my 2 cents.

  • The Ford 134 engines are as common as walnuts. It took me about 15 seconds to find this one:

  • I think there are engines (short or long block) available. Check Ebay or other auction sites.

  • The NAA was built in 1953 & 1954. Finding a replacement block could be difficult and very expensive due to relatively low production volume. You may have better luck sourcing a 134 CID from a later model tractor.
