  • Decal placement 1944 2n
  • Every thing is finished on my 2n except installing the data plate and a decal set.

There are a ton of 8n sets but it seems like very little information about the 2ns.

I found a set has five decals, dark blue backgrounds with white lettering, which seem appropriate for a 1944 production machine. Color, block lettering, etc.

The set includes one for the Oil filter, two for the air filter, draft control and BE CAREFUL, don't use the rear axle for a drawbar.

The locations on the air cleaner and oil filter are pretty obvious but where does the draft arm control decal go? Same for the 1944 version of an OSHA warning?

    THanks,

    Tony

  • HiYa Tony-
You don't use the POSITION/DRAFT CONTROL decal on 9N/2N models. They never had POSITION CONTROL so no need, no lever to mark. What do you mean by "1944 version of an OSHA warning"? Do you mean the PTO "BE CAREFUL" warning? The decals would be the blue ones, except early 9Ns that used the DONALDSON air cleaners -those would be yellow background/black lettering. UNITED air cleaners used the blue ones.

  • Hi Tim,

It's been while. Thanks for getting back. Did you ever get the photos of the air cleaner top cartridge mod I did? However I found a cartridge and cover so now it looks just like Donaldsons' engineers designed it.

THe the link to Decals gave me the information I needed. I forgot that the information was in "75 tips" and "just2ns"

Yes,the "Be careful, only hook to drawbar"(sic) warning. I'm wondering where it goes. Back of the differential, somewhere in the drivers' view? The set includes the blue air cleaner decals.

I finished it in gray and the little bit of color from the decals will help the look.

    Regards,

    Tony

  • Yep. You don't have the lever on the 9N/2N so no decal. The 9N and 2N only had draft control -it was a gimme.
