  • Found that plate for the loader! Was literally under my nose all these years!!! It is on my tractor! What shape is your axel pin in? It's on an 8n if that matters any. Rusty

  • Rusty, I found mine too. It is bolted up to my tractor. Can't believe it, I looked under there a dozen times and never saw it 'til yesterday. Thank you so much for your trouble.

  • Good deal!! My dog tripped me about 10 ft in front of tractor and it was the first thing I seen when I looked up!!! Now we both have one!! Enjoy the loader! It will make a whole different tractor out of your 9N!!! Rusty

  • Re tip # 16, what did you see when you removed the inspection plate and tried to lift a heavy implement?

  • Like I said, it will not come up at all. How much oil should be in the transmission? And what kind? Thanks

  • We have a ton of useful info in our HOW-TO's forum -SEE LINK below for one. Hydraulic oil should be a clear, honey-like color. If it is murky brown or whitish, it is contaminated with water and needs to be addressed immediately.

  • Yes, I understand it will not lift.

What I am trying to do is help you determine why it won't lift.

That's why I suggested the process outlined in tip # 16. Remove an inspection plate and try to lift a heavy implement. If you see fluid flowing from the top cover, that will help you determine the cause of the problem.

    See tips 3 & 4 re fluid.
