  • PTO shaft guard
  • I had to leave my bush hog set in the elements and the plastic PTO shaft guard has cracked from the sunlight. Where is a good source to get a replacement guard? Shaft itself is in good shape.

  • I just bought the u-joint covers for a Eurocardan driveline. I found them at Agri Supply. Mine is old so I bought some extras for just in case.

  • Could you make a piece of PVC pipe work?

  • Best bet is to get from the original manufacturer of the unit/brush hog. Ultraviolet light is the root cause of weather cracking rubber, plastic deterioration. If storing tractor and/or implements outside, best to cover with a canvas tarp. Plastic tarps work too, just they too will degrade in a short time from sunlight. Keep tractor tires covered as well. Avoid using any product like 303 on tires that claims to protect the rubber as it is not true, can actually cause premature creep.

  • I have Jubilee that had new tires-absolutely no weather checking and no liquid ballast but it had to sit outside for about a year until I had built a shed for it. After bringing it inside one rear tire developed a split about 6-8" long. What could have caused that? Thanks
