  • New PTO Sprayer Pump
  • Installed a new sprayer pump yesterday. I got about 20 years out of the last one. Hopefully this will last the rest of my spraying days. :-)

Added some quick disconnects to drain pump and remove easily.

  • Looks like a twin of the one I have on my sprayer right down to the quick connects.
Reminds me that I need to get busy spraying brush....

  • Love those quick connects. Easy to drain, remove and fill with antifreeze for storage.

    Yearly spraying of Roundup.

    What are those disconnects?
What I have are called a "Gator Lock Quick Coupler" from Tractor Supply. Was going to buy Banjo but their brand doesn't lock and I've heard stories where people lost some spray when they came unlatched by accident.

I made the connections different on the pump ports. Female on one side, male on the other. It's goof proof so that I don't connect the hoses on the wrong sides. :-)

The quick connects make it easy to drain and remove pump from tractor for storage if need be. Manual says to fill with 50/50 antifreeze for lubrication. On the old pump, I just drained and added some motor oil. It worked for 20 years that way.

  • Yes he did. The unit was a boom sprayer at one point many years ago. My dad had it converted to what it is now with a platform on the back for a person to stand and spray. I drive, my brother sprays. Dad and I did the spraying for years.
