  • I haven't had much (as in none at all) time to work on the engine since I posted the pictures of taking my engine off my 8N. I have made a few phone calls though and I can't seem to find a place to get the engine boiled. Do any of you have suggestions for the middle Tennessee area? Preferably between Nashville and Jackson.

    Thanks ahead of time.

  • A quick google search for "engine rebuilding Jackson TN" returned a lot of results and at least a half dozen that looked like they should provide engine rebuilding services including block cleaning. In this day and age a lot of places bake and blast rather than soak and blast.

  • I live in the Jackson TN area and I don't know of any place. There is a real scarcity in this area for those kinds of services. I would suggest you call some dealers or parts store as they might be able to help. The other guy that responded was more interested in chastising for how you posted than in offering any help.

  • Jim,

The "other guy" was Jerry, the guy who initiated the post. He was correcting the mistake he made in his title of the post. He is using auto-fill which put "Baldwin" in the title of the post instead of "8N Engine Rebuild".

    Just to clear it up,

  • That's what you get with Autofill SMH. Subject should have been 8N engine rebuild.
