  • 8n front spindle bushings
  • The parts manual shows only one bushing on top and bearing bottom 4 bushings required per tractor so assuming a bushing also goes on the bottom even though mine did not have one in .Rite folks ? the spindles were super worn out got a decent pair coming in and new bearings and bushings and seals .

  • HiYa Dan-
We have the 1949 FORD 8N MPC in our MANUALS library for FREE download -click on the LINK below. Page 17A shows the front axle and all the related parts. The text lists all the parts so find the part and read across. It will say what it is and how many are required. If it says 2 RQD, that means one on each side on each spindle. If it says 4 RQD, it means two required on each side. You have 1 bearing (3123), two bushings (3109), and one seal (3528) on EACH side. Missing or worn/disintegrated parts would certainly cause excessive wear on the spindle shaft. When I did mine it was obvious they were original as they had the FORD script logo on them and the bottom two bushings were worn thru most of the way.

  • No, there is only ONE bearing -at the bottom of the spindle unless if you mean TWO- one on each side. There ere are TWO BUSHINGS, top and bottom. As I said before, find the part in eth list by number, the read across to column "No. Rqd." and it'll say how many are needed.

  • Both upper and lower bushings are a press in fit. If there was no lower bushing there may also be wear to the spindle housing. There should be many used axle parts available from various sources.

  • What bearing on each side ? Nothing shows bearing on top . I get it has bushings on top and bottom . I don't think it is suppose to have a bearing on the top .....Thanks for the reply .
