  • Touch control fibre disc.......
  • I received my new disc yesterday. It is not what I expected. It is a piece of cork gasket material in the shape of a disc. It is 3" in diameter, 3/16" thick and has a 1/2" hole in the centre. Is this correct for the purpose? I just hate to reassemble everything without knowing for sure. David

  • If you ordered the correct part number, then it should be okay. What did you expect? How does it compare to the old one? It's pretty hard to muck up a piece of round cork, but then it matters where you buy parts from. See LINK...

  • Shaft is 1/2" on threaded end nd 5/8" for the main part of the shaft.

  • Thanks for the help. It appears to be a correct part. With some adjustment to the centre hole it will be good to go. Dave

  • Just to put a cap on this discussion I have been having over the last month or so about my 1952 8N. First it was a touch lever which took way too much force to move. Secondly it was hydraulics which would go up but refuse to come down. Then it was disassembly time. I followed advise given freely here by other members. Guys who take their time selflessly to help others who may not have the skills or knowledge. I followed advise and my tractor is working again and all problems seem solved. Thanks.
