  • Top link rocker bushing
  • Thought this would be easy but its not. Wanting to swap out a 1 pin hole top link rocker with a 3 hole top link rocker.
Have the long pin that goes from end to end of rear through both "ears" with a center bushing on the pin at the rocker. Not the just center pin type. Got my long pin removed and now the bushing is left in the housing holding the one hole rocker on. I can not seem to budge the bushing. How do I get it removed!? To remove the rocker. Also, since Im sure I will destroy this bushing trying to remove it, what is the part number to buy a new and from where? I seem to be having no luck finding it, the manual only shows a pin that spans just the center part of housing, part number 8n486 pin. This is not what I need. I have the long pin here and need the bushing.
Any info/help appreciated. Also curious, why does the manual not show this?

  • The part you call a bushing is very hard material..you need a driver that slips inside the 'bushing' and steps up in diameter to the OD of same. Then hammer away or better, an air hammer. You will probably decide that the current rocker is fine. :)
