  • It is needed if the gas tank needs replaced on tractors before serial# 9N2500 but still using your old hood.

  • Interesting question, Doug. The part is listed in the '41, '42, and '46 MPC's but a bit of a mystery. They all list it but do not show it in any diagram. Look in the '41 MPC, page 30. The '40 MPC does not list it. P/N 9N-9126, Adaptor, Tank to Tank Support, used 39-42. Also, note the radiator pad, 9N-8032-A, and p/n 9N-9067, Pad, Fuel Tank Support, used 39-45. The March, 1940 MPC, the very first 9N MPC, lists p/n 74-700382, Pad, Weather, used 39-40. P/N 9N-9067 is listed as, PAD, support, fuel tank, used 39-45. The 9N-8032 part is not listed in the January, 1946 MPC. I suspect these parts were changed around when they went from the aluminum hoods to the steel hoods and also when they went from the non-pressurized radiator to the pressurized unit. We need clarification for sure so all you early 9N owners chime in if you can. I don't have my hood off my early 9N so can't tell what I have.
