  • Just got a new (to me) NAA. Any suggestions on what oil I should put in it? Also, it has a screw-on filter that I don't remember them having as a kid. Anyone know what
    filter it would take? Thanks

  • There is an adapter kit to replace the canister filter on those.
You might have a later engine in your tractor too. I think it was about 58 or so Ford cast the block for spin on filters. They did away with piston sleeves about the same time.
Any 134 ci red tiger is a direct swap into an NAA/Jubilee. A 172 ci will also bolt right in.
I use a generic diesel rated 15W40 in my tractors. They have block heaters so I'm not concerned about cold weather starts.

  • I run Rotella straight 30 wt in mine with a Fram Toughguard TG-8A spin on filter.
    Walmart carry's both items.

  • Oil viscosity depends on what the temperature is where you live. Most run that Rotella 10-40 in there tractors. I bought synthetic 5-40 for my Ford 3000. I use it to clean snow in the drive and it get pretty cold in Northern Indiana in winter. Any good oil will work and is much better than what the old tractors originally used. I think if I live in a warm climate I'd use straight 30 weight. Just my 10 cents worth.

  • Mine has the spin-on filter adapter installed and uses a Fram PH-8A filter size. A lot more convenient that the internal can filter it came with. I have been running 10w40 oil for years.
