  • Posting Pictures
  • Could someone tell me how to post pictures from Imgur to this board? I used to be able to use the direct link from my images file but that no longer works for me. I know this has been addressed before but could not find it in the Archives. Thanks

  • Click on the picture you want to post. Look to the right. See the line that says HTML. Click the blue box on that line that says COPY. Then come to this page and use control V or paste to put that line of code into the message you are typing.

  • Here's how I do it Del. Click on the image you want. On bottom click on large thumbnail then scroll up to HTML box click on copy then go to N tractor and include it in your text you are posting by hitting control V to paste it

  • I am not familiar with the Imgur user interface so bear with me.

    Using your mouse select and copy the "direct" link for your image, paste it into the address bar of your browser, and hit RETURN. Does the image open in the browser?

  • What I got was a list of Imgur web references. Hope I did it correctly.

  • Select and copy the direct link again but this time paste it into the message box and post it here so we can see what it looks like.

  • When I cut and paste that into the address bar in Chrome it opens the image. Not sure why it did not work for you but it appears you have found a solution.

    For future reference messages on this site can be formatted using standard HTML. Once you have the full path of your image (e.g. Imgur direct link) you can include the image in a post using the following HTML:

    <img src=https://i.imgur.com/imuKp0e.jpg>

    The portion in red is the HTML and is always the same. The portion in black is the direct link to your image and will be different for every image. If you type the example above EXACTLY AS SHOWN into the message box it will produce this when you preview the message:

    TOH

  • Two ways really. Dan's method is best -fast and easy. Copy and paste in the 'OPTIONAL LINK URL' text box at bottom. TOH's "DIRECT" method works too, but after you paste in your message you need to add some more html code. That is inserting at the beginning an arrow L and the word center in it, an arrow R, another arrow L with img src=" (note parentheses) before your link that begins with https. At the end of you LINK code, after the .jpg, you need to add another set of parentheses, an R, an arrow L followed by /center inside the arrows. What that does is centers your picture in your message. Like this:

    I believe that air Precleaner is the HARCO unit. Once you are ready to post, best to do a PREVIEW first to see if it is what you wanted -picture is there and all. If you get a black or red X you missed something. Preview lets you go back and fix things. Once ready to post, just click post message at bottom.
