  • I'm a tractor enthusiast in the UK with no allegiance to a particular make or period but recognise the contribution made by Henry Ford to agriculture. At the moment I have been contracted to write about Harry Ferguson, whilst there are plenty of TE 20s etc here, 9Ns and 2Ns are thin on the ground and I need photos of these, does anyone have good photos of aluminium grilled 9Ns and steel wheeled 2Ns they could let me use? Any help appreciated and acknowledged.

  • The Ford-Ferguson story is well documented in a few books, the best is as I said above in Colin Frasers' book, "Tractor Pioneer -The Life of Harry Ferguson". I don't know what else needs to be written, but have at it. Also, there are plenty of photos -both in the archives here and in the many of books on Ford-Ferguson tractors. We can't supply you with them all -you will have to do your own homework. Ferguson had demonstrated his new draft control on his 1936 Ferguson-Brown Tractor, s/n 722, in Dearborn to Henry Ford that resulted in their handshake agreement. S/N Here's one famous picture:
