  • V6 conversion
  • My dad has been wanting to do a v6 or v8 conversion for a while now. he found a tractor with a "repaired" block that is not running. i do not know the model o the tractor, it is not an N series though. is there a kit to do this or will we be fabricating parts. he is thinking like a 4.3 v6 so the hood doesn't have to be messed with.

  • Kirk, do you think that kit work for a later model like a hundred's series tractor?

  • Don't know but kind of doubt it. You could just swap in a 192 engine with somewhere around 60 HP without having to build an adapter or change anything. Give Phil a call at RedRock. You could always do it yourself and build an adapter but it's a lot of work.

  • I only know of two companies that made conversion kits and they are both out of business. Funk Aviation and Awesome Henry. Your best bet is to find one already done and restore it or you will have to make your own "kit".

  • When did Awesome Henry quit making them? Their website and Facebook page are still up and running.

  • Donald "Don" L. Knasel, 81, of Maplewood, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2015, at the Kindred Hospital, Lima, Ohio.

Website looks like it is now being run by Dave Knasel.

  • Last time I saw Don was in 2009, I was planning another trip down there and was told he passed away. Must have been around 2010. Would be nice if I'm wrong he's a good guy.
