  • Tail lights
  • Just wondering if anyone has a wiring diagram for tail lights, being able to switch from flashing to steady on. This would be for a '54 NAA.

  • The 39-53 MPC has the lighting wiring sketch but be aware the system was 6V POS/GRN. Adding extra lights can exceed the system output and be unable to keep up -an early problem with N's. OHM's Law will verify. What you want to do is modify that and that will require a non-original 12V system, new switch, and new wiring. Lighting kits were dealer optional accessories on all N's, never OEM factory installed until the 800 Model and then only headlights. Ford didn't make a system like this on the N's or Hundreds. A new switch should have a wiring sketch to detail the hookup. It will be a multi-position unit, 12V mandatory, and fused and wired correctly. I would think any auto parts store will carry light switches.

  • Find the blinker element and take it out of the circuit. Splice the two ends together and your done. At some risk, I'm assuming that there is a fuse already in the system.
