  • Wix filters have the reputation of the best filters made. NAPA filters are actually Wix. NAPA has an annual filter sale [at least here] about the first week in April and I buy what I think we will need for the year then. The owner of the local NAPA told me the sale prices are cheaper than what he normally pays for them whole sale.

  • I have not used a Fram full flow filter since I found a piece of the plastic bypass valve plugging the oil journal in the block. Motor Craft filters have a metal bypass valves

  • For the N-Series tractors? If you're talking about the newer spin-on style that is offered for the N-Series tractors, you will just have to do your own homework -try searching the archives here. Me? I don't see the need to reinvent the wheel. It takes what, maybe a half an hour to do an oil change on an N? I concur with Farmer Dan. I'd spend my $$$ on practical things like tune-up parts, new wiring, or dinner with the girlfriend...

  • Thats like asking what is the best oil to use. There is no right answer. Get the right size on sale and worry about important things. Like what to have for dinner. LOL
