  • 800 Row Crop
  • A guy on another site is selling an 800 row crop. He said some guy from Iowa showed him paperwork that ford made them in an 800. I have never heard of an 800 other than the utility model. If they were truly made would there be a code for them like a -10? Can some one shed some light on this subject.

  • No joke on my part. I asked if he had the paperwork, so far not response. Likely a tranny switch.

  • I don't believe there was ever an 800 Series Row Crop, or a 600 either. According to Randy Leffingwells' book "Ford Farm Tractors of the 1950s" Ford introduced their 740, 950, and 960 models with the single tread front option. I never saw any documentation with an 800 Row Crop. Perhaps there was an aftermarket company? This morning on a Facebook Ford Tractor page I saw a guy selling an 8N with the single front wheel option. These we know were aftermarket.
