  • Replacement fuel tanks
  • Can anyone speak to the quality of the replacement fuel tanks sold on Ebay? They range from $89 dollars with free shipping to over $200 dollars with shipping cost. Is there really a difference in quality or are they all mad by the same manufacturer and just sold by different retailers?

  • Yep, what Dan said. There may be more than one supplier, but I'd avoid fleapay and buy from JUST8Ns or Dennis Carpenter. You can always call and talk to Derek at JUST8Ns and see what he has to say about the ones they sell as a reliable seller like them will make returning painless if the need should arise. JUST8Ns doesn't just sell parts, they work on them, rebuild, and restore them as well, so they know all about the parts they sell. You can try to search the archives here too for old posts that others may have talked about their replacement tank. Pros and Cons on suppliers cane help making the decision easier.

  • You ever hear the expression "You get what you pay for". Yes they are all made by th same company but they are not all perfect. Best to pay a few extra bucks and get one from a supplier you can trust that has good customer service. That way if you do get one that "ain't right" they will make good with you.
