  • I have a 1944 2N that my dad purchased new in 1944. Fully restored in 2001 and basically in storage since then. I run it twice a year and that's it. I also took it to a local clubs plow days, twice. I'm seriously thinking of passing it on to someone else who'll enjoy it the way I have. It will include a Ferguson 2 bottom plow that originally came with the tractor plus three boxed of other 2n, 8n stuff. Plow not all worn out, just needs paint. Since this photo was taken the front tires have been changed to original style single rib Firestones, Firestones all around. My question, what is a fair market value for this tractor and plow???? I'll take some recent photos and post them when I can, maybe later today. Located in Brooklyn, CT. email is open. Dad's 2N photo DSCN0995_1.jpg

  • I have shifted my restoring efforts to Model A Fords. I have a 1929 Ford Phaeton that i purchased a short time ago. One of the unique futures is the engine. Model A fords were basically produced from Oct 1927 through March 1932. The 29 I own has what is called a Diamond Block engine, actually has a raised diamond on the engine, right side near the timing gear cover. Diamond Block engines were produced until 1941, mine was manufactured in 1937. I took my 1944 2N out of the barn yesterday and happened to notice the same raised Diamond on the left hand side of the engine near the front. Anyone else see a raised diamond on their engines? I'll take a photo tomorrow when the rain stops.

  • Mr. Cooke,
2N block with diamond and second photo/engine is a Model A engine with raised diamond. 2N is a 1944, Replacement Model A engine actually dates to 1937 even though the Model A's ended in March 1932.
