  • Dist. Oiler Cup/Left Side Engine Wing nut?
  • Hi Guys,

Finally spending more time to care for my '52 8N. I remember reading that I should be adding a few drops of oil to the bottom of the distributer, but that screw is missing. Please advise how to lubricate, and is there a standard screw I can use to replace?
Also, while replacing the starter I noticed there is a hole/wing-nut on the left-hand side of the engine just forward of the starter. Mine has broken off. What is it and is there a replacement?

    Thanks, Rick

  • I don't know what screw you are referring to. The distributor should have a capped oiler pipe with a wick inside it.

  • Right, not a screw, but just a hole so missing the oiler pipe/wick. Thanks.
