  • hi so i have a good starter figured out i have a bad solenoid as i was still getting voltage out of the starter solenoid as i was still getting voltage to the starter when i did not push the starter switch so i bought a automotive starter solenoid and i can get it to start if i put a wire between the big post did i just get two bad starter solenoids

  • One of the small wires on the solenoid should be marked "S". That connects to the starter key. The other "I" terminal connects to the coil, or maybe not at all on some engines.
    Is that done right?

    6v or 12v?


    Why are you trying to use an automotive solenoid when the correct solenoid is available even at NAPA?
