  • 19-3 snow blade?
  • Just picked up a Dearborn 19-1 frame and 19-3 snow plow/blade. Can someone tell me if the blade was originally intended to have skid shoe mounts? The bottom lip of this one has two holes on each side, and then a well done angle iron mount like I have never seen. Looking for the original equipment as I am restoring this snow plow and the tractor.

  • I have fabricated and used the skids on my J-1. bulldozer blade, which I also use as a snowplow blade. I have discarde them as the tilt snowolow makes them useless and dig in unfrozen gravel The skids don't work too weell on budozing. I have it mounted on a 2N.
Instead I leave the 13 hole drawbar on the lift arms. I then run a chain from the drawbar to the center 3 point and adjust the chain to blade depth desired. If the driveway doesn't dip too much, I can keep the blade about 1" above the wet gravel and run at 6-8 miles /hour ' in high range and 2nd gear.
