  • Headlights on NAA
  • My NAA has the original lights, but the switch appears to have been broken. It is a simple toggle switch so I don't know if that is original. The tractor has been converted to 12 volts. I assume I'll have to replace the original lights with 12 volt lights and fix the switch. I don't know the history of the tractor, so any info you can provide will be much appreciated. Thanks

  • When it comes to headlights, 12V systems are good. I converted my NAA to 12V and installed aftermarket lights. I installed a new switch and have an inline fuse. I think I used new wiring.

  • If they are 6 volt lights you can wire them in series to run at 12 volts.

    + ---FUSE-----SWITCH-----6VBULB1----6VBULB2-------- -

Only problem with that is when one blows they both go out.

  • In theory, yes. In practice it will only work if the bulbs are a very close match. Otherwise one will be bright, the other dim, and the bright one burns out very quickly. BTDT

  • Larry, I do believe that you will have to get 12v lights. Those are sealed lights, my NAA still has original lights and a 6v system. I too have to replace mine cause the wires are anything but there. I'm going to get 6v lights from Stieners when I do get them. Hope that helps.
