  • 9N block
  • Just wondering if anyone makes an aftermarket block for the 9N? My block has a large hole from the water jacket into the #4 cylinder and the machine shop says there is a chance they can repair it and it will not leak, no guarantees. Thanks Doug

  • It would be worth a phone call to Derek at Just8N's. I know he has a lot of used parts for sale.

  • Re: 9N block
  • Nobody never made a new, entire replacement 9N engine block. FORD supposedly had spares to offer dealers when the OEM was damaged but that was 80 years ago. A few sellers and part suppliers have rebuilt OEM blocks for sale -long and short. Try boneyards in your area and you might find a used tractor for cheap you can swap out.

  • Yes but good used blocks are readily available and a whole lot cheaper.

  • I cant seem to find one. At one point someone was selling brand new long blocks but Google comes up empty. As I said - no shortage of used blocks.

  • I have a complete front mount engine. It runs but smokes. Would need to be rebuilt. Or you could just have the block. It came on a 9N and I ran the tractor with it for a while while I rebuilt another engine. There are no cracks to my knowledge, but I have not had the block inspected by a machine shop. I am located near St. Louis.
